Prior to Your Consultation

Deciding on your wedding flowers is best executed about half-way through your wedding planning process. There are a few crucial details you'll want to have decided already. Here's how to get started!

To begin, here's a checklist of plans that must be set in stone before picking your flowers. These will have the strongest impact on design, style, and varieties of flowers used:

This is the document our consultant will use to record your wedding order and write out your estimate. It also contains our wedding contact, so you can reference our full terms and policies!
Please do not fill it out. Much of the information is subject to change or discussion with our consultant.

Estimated Pricing List

Our pricing list gives rough estimates so you can establish a budget prior to your consultation. An approximate price point is crucial to having a successful appointment and reviewing the list is highly recommended.

Choosing Flowers and Styles

Once a color scheme is established, it's on to deciding shape and style.

You are encouraged to bring in pictures or ideas of flowers that you like. Check out our Pinterest boards for inspiration and examples here. Feel free to bring a tablet, laptop, or phone. It gives us an important first impression of your taste in flowers and the look you want for your flowers. We carry an extensive selection of fresh flowers and should have many of your choices to show you. If something is out of season or not currently in stock, we have pictures of individual flowers for reference.

We hear a lot about seasonal flowers. While this is true in some cases, we have access to flowers from around the world and most flowers are available most of the time. We keep availability in mind when recommending particular flowers. It is important to remember that flowers are not manufactured and are subject to growing conditions at their source. While it rarely happens, if we find that a major flower will not be available in time for your wedding, we will contact you with a suggested substitution.

Flower Budgets

We do not have a minimum amount requirement for the weddings we create. We have worked with many flower budgets from modest to lavish, and we can create a lovely wedding on a limited budget when expectations are realistic. Samples

After booking your wedding with us, if discussions and pictures do not give you a clear vision of your choices, we are more than happy to offer samples! We can definitely order something close, and in many instances, we can order the exact flower varieties.

If you would like for us to get flowers similar to what you've chosen for you to preview there is no charge for this. However, if exact samples are required, there may be a charge for the samples. The cost can be reviewed with you. Bouquet and centerpiece design samples are also available at an additional fee.

You may also view our wedding work, by appointment, on Thursday or Friday to look at the work being done for that weekend's weddings. As these are the busiest days of our week, the appointment must be brief and between 10am and 3pm. While the wedding work will be in progress, items may not be complete, but it will allow you the opportunity to take a look at our work.

Visiting Ceremony and Reception Venues

While we are very familiar with most all venues in our area, if you wish for us to make a visit your chosen locations, we will be happy to do so. There is a charge for this service.

Rental Items

We have sets of matching containers, arches, columns, pillars, or other non-floral decorative items available for rent for your wedding! Rental fees can be discussed at your appointment.

Please note, you are responsible for returning all rented items following your wedding, or we can retrieve these items from your venue for an additional delivery fee. Missing or damaged rental items may be subject to additional charges. We require a credit card on file to secure our loaned and rented items.

Flower Delivery and Set Up Charges

Included in our delivery and set up fee are 2 stops to the ceremony and reception site locations. The fee is based on distance traveled and the amount of time for decoration at each location. If you wish to have decorations moved from the ceremony to the reception, the delivery charge will be computed to do so.

It is important for you to notify us of any other events prior to yours at either venue. (For example, if there is a Saturday Church service prior to your wedding ceremony.)

Personal flowers, such as bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and ceremony decorations are usually delivered two hours prior to the ceremony start time. All boutonnieres and corsages will have a name tag attached, to identify to who they are for. Your wedding coordinator can assist with this. If you require our staff to be present, please let us know at your consultation.

Reception centerpieces and decor are delivered approximately 1-2 hours before the start time of the reception, depending on your desired timeline. We are happy to work out the timing in coordination with the venue, caterer, and cake bakery. It is important that we know these details or be given contact information for your caterer and venue, or your day-of coordinator, so that we can plan delivery times in coordination with them.

Flower Care Upon Delivery

Flowers are incredibly sensitive! Floral arrangements are alive with fresh flowers that are highly responsive to their environment and require careful care to look their best. In creating your designs, we use fresh well-conditioned flowers and the designs are kept refrigerated and misted for freshness until the moment they are delivered to your venue. Upon your receipt of the flowers, they should be kept in a cool place away from direct light and heat.
Any flowers that are exposed to heat, harsh sunlight, and no water may begin wilting. It is the responsibility of the client to provide the proper environment for the flowers, or accept the toll harsh conditions take on the flowers' freshness.

Bridal and bridesmaids' bouquet care is especially crucial!

Bouquets are delivered in water should be KEPT IN WATER until the last possible minute.
Once flower stems are removed from their water source, the capillaries in the stem begin to close and the stems will not be able to drink up the water, even once they are placed back in water. Please re-cut the stems (this opens new access points in the capillaries) and return the bouquets to water when they are not being used.
We understand that bridal/bridesmaid bouquets are used in a capacity such that they cannot be kept in water for much of the event. If flowers are removed from the water source, even for just a few minutes, they may not be at their absolute best by the time you are ready to walk down the aisle. Please understand, the less water and more harsh the environment the flowers are met with, the more prone to wilting and collapsing they are.

Deposit and Payment Schedule

Upon completion of your wedding consultation, you will be given a written estimate to include all items discussed. This estimate is valid for two weeks. A deposit is not required at the end of the consultation. You are encouraged to place the deposit within 2 weeks to ensure your date is still available and to secure your quoted rates. Your wedding is considered "booked", once you have both signed our contract and placed your deposit. The deposit applies to your wedding order, but is not refundable. At that time, we will place your wedding on our calendar and enter all necessary information into our system. You may make payments on the balance at any time. We do require that wedding be paid in full 1 week prior to the wedding date.

Making Changes in Your Wedding Plan

As time progresses there will probably be minor changes, additions, or deletions to the number of corsages or boutonnieres or tables. We will be happy to review details with you on your wedding order. For minor changes, a phone call or email will suffice! If you find yourself needing o make more major changes, please schedule a second consultation with us. All details will be considered final at the time the final bill is paid, at least one week prior to the wedding.
